The Skinny On Water

Did you know that as babies we are approximately 75 to 80% water and as we grow older this percentage decreases until the percentage is reduced to approximately 60 to 65% for men and 50 to 60% for women. The human brain is about 85% water and our bones are between 10 to 15% water.  So water is a very key element in the makeup of our bodies.   When it comes to the matter of losing weight water is also very important as it does wonders for cutting the appetite.  Your body also requires water for optimum health, therefore we should drink lots and lots of water.  Ideally we should have at least 8 eight ounce glasses of water each day.  This it self will discourage any tendency to gorge.  Water not only cuts your appetite, but it also prevents those "hungry horrors" we all sometimes encounter when our blood sugar drops and we reach for cookies, candy, ice cream, fries or other high-calorie treats. If you have more water in your body you will generally feel healthier and fitter, and water flushes out the system too, as well as rids the body of bloat and toxins and rosies up your skins complexion. However one of the best things about water is that is has no calories at all.

There is even scientific evidence that suggests that H2O really does help you lose weight. A group of researchers in Germany have reported that water consumption increases the rate at which people burn calories. The impact is modest and the findings are preliminary, but the researchers say their study could have very important implications for weight-control programs.

How to lose weight fast....with water

1. Drink plenty of water. Our bodies needs a lot of water so give in to water.  Start your day with a glass of water. As soon as you wake up, gulp down a glass of cool water. It’s a wonderful way to start you day and you only need a lesser quantity of your breakfast drink after that. A glass of water lets out all your digestive juices and sort of lubricates the insides of your body. You may have your morning cup of tea but have it after a glass of water. It is good for you.

2. Drink a glass of water before you start the meal. Water naturally needs some space so that you feel fuller without actually having to stuff yourself.

3. Have another glass of water while you are having the meal. Again this is another great how to lose weight fast super tip and a way of making yourself full, another great weight loss tips, so that you can actually rise from the table eating less but feeling full just the same. Instead of drinking it in one gulp, take sips after each morsel. It will help the food to settle faster so that you get that feeling that you are full faster.

4. Stay away from sweetened bottle drinks, especially sodas. All those colas and fizzy drinks are sweetened with sugar and sugar means calories. The more you can cut out on these sweetened bottle drinks, the better for you. So if you must drink sodas, then stick to diet sodas.

5. Include in your diet things that contain more water like tomatoes and watermelons. These things contain 90 to 95 % water so that there is nothing that you have to lose by feasting on them. They fill you up without adding to the pounds.

6. Eat fresh fruit instead of drinking fruit juice. Juice is often sweetened but fresh fruits have natural sugars. When you eat fruit, you are taking in a lot of fiber, which is needed by the body, and fruits of course are an excellent source of vitamins. Note that another really great source of fiber is the Glucomannan in the Skinny Fiber product.  Dr. Mehmet Oz recently stated on his television show that Glucomannan was the best thing for weight loss.  Learn more about this and other ingredients in Skinny Fiber here  -->  Skinny Ingredients

7. If you do have a craving for fruit juice then go for fresh fruit juice instead of these that contain artificial flavors and colors. Or even better, try making your own fruit juice taking care not to sweeten it with too many calories.

Please Note!!

People with kidney conditions or other health issues where fluid intake needs to be limited should follow doctor's recommendations when dieting and/or before changing eating and drinking habits.
